We have been doing renovations since we closed on the house 2 weeks ago. It has been crazy. We knocked down walls, built closets, ripped out a fireplace, and tried removing a stone wall ( didn't work).
My renovation plans have changed since we found out that our house is made of stone. No really...its made of STONE! I live in castle.
GREAT! Looks like this wall is staying. My original plan was to remove this wall halfway and add a second railing to the stairs. That is not happening now.
In the mean time, our closet is coming along, we put down the floor and added the high hats. Now we just need to close up the walls which is getting done this week.
Sadly our fireplace still looks the same. We have a professional coming in to look at that. You can see the fireplace Before/After here:
I want to start rapping up these projects so we can stain the floors. The floors is the last project on the list. We are hoping to move in the beginning of October.
