Renovations Day 1

We started Renovations today in the living room!!
Our fireplace is about 10ft long, it reminds me of a fireplace that would be in a ski resort. It is huge and intrusive.

Our first project was to tackle the fire place....and it's safe to say we did!!!

We ( when I say we I mean my brother Chris and Sebastian) chiseled the stone off the wall, removed the wood beams on the sides, and chiseled out the hearth.

It is a complete mess right now but removing the hearth did add some room, which is exactly what I wanted and hoped for.

I did some work too!!! ( Not really, I pretended to saw )

I was abused though, I love that you can see the sheet rock being thrown at me.

Sebastian was excited to use a power tool. This picture just shows off the amount of horsepower he has.

We also want to expand our closet so we broke into the bedroom that is next to ours. After we did that we noticed that the plumbing to our bathroom was in that wall. We can still continue with our plans, we just need to reroute the plumbing.

Bye Bye Wall :)

On Friday we ( I love to say we ) are framing out the closet and going to finish up that project...and then on to the next one!

For now we have a messy, dirty, dusty house!!!
