Closing this Friday!!!

It feels like it has been forever since we found our house. This process is long and boring and you feel so out of control. 

BUT!

We got our closing date!!!

I was wondering how I was going to build "built ins" or how much I was going to have to pay...but I just discovered "Billy's Bookcases" from Ikea. They are $59.99 and look BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Still no closing date

Everyone said that buying a house is a long process... I understand now! We found this house in May and it is now August and we still do not have a closing date. I wouldn't mind but we are on a time clock. If we don't close on the house before next week our interest rates will change. 

They told us 3 weeks ago we would have the closing date by the end of the week... when that never happened they said we needed a house survey because ours is from 2005. This is the only problem they said...after this survey is done we should have a closing date.

I am happy and annoyed all at the same time. Happy because my job is 5 minutes from my parents house ( where we live now), and I like to come home and hang out with my family. I don't want to go home to an empty house :( I guess I will get used to it. And annoyed because I hate when people give you the run around...and it's not their money thats being wasted, its ours.

Hoping for some good news this week!!!!

Waiting...Waiting...and Waiting

We are still waiting for the closing date! This process really does take forever. In the mean time I just keep pinning ideas on Pinterest and saving pictures to my account on Houzz. I am going to have so many ideas and projects when we move in I am not going to know where to start.

As for now I will just post pictures of what I want my future backyard to look like :)

Love this one a lot. The pool is small but it would be perfect for my small yard. Also has a jacuzzi!!

Everything Chevron!!

DIY CHEVRON NAILS

 

 

 

Since I have been obsessing over the Chevron pattern and do not have a house to decorate yet...I decided to decorate my nails instead.

 

 

What I used:

 

Pinking Sheers ( $2.60)

 

 

Scotch Tape

 

 

I painted all of my nails pink except for my 2 ring fingers which I painted white. I cut strips of the tape with my pinking sheers, stuck them on my nail and then painted black over it. I didn't let it dry I peeled it off right after. I loved how they came out!!!

 

I love the Chevron pattern

 

 

 

I have been seeing it everywhere! I don't know if I am brave enough to do a wall chevron but I do want to incorporate it somewhere.

I love the chevron wall but I want to put to paint stripes on the wall across from the front door. I don't know how many patterns I can have in one house!??!

 

 

 

 

Dining Room

Our floor plan is very open, when you walk in it is a just open space which I am going to make a dining room. The floors will be a dark wood and the walls will NOT be yellow. 

I like Shale from Benjamin Moore

I think this color with wainscoting is and a dark floor is Gorgeous!!!!

I would try and put a skinny tiny serving table on the back wall along with 2 large wall frame moldings, sconces on either side, and artwork in the middle of the wall frame.

I Love Stripes!

I don't know when this happened...but I love stripes!

I want to paint stripes on the wall in my entry way when you first walk in and the wall across from it.
